Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro INT'L Airport (JRO)

Arrive in Kilimanjaro International Airport and be met by one of our safari representatives. Transfer to your booked hotel in Arusha, where relaxation and rejuvenation await. Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Leave for Tarangire National Park after you’ve enjoyed an early morning breakfast. Upon arrival immerse yourself in a full-day game drive, exploring the park’s diverse landscape with nine unique vegetation zones. Admire the grandeur of ancient Baobab trees, the largest in Africa, casting shadows over the wildlife grazing below. Follow the meandering Tarangire River, a magnet for a rich array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a vibrant assortment of birds.

Famous for its significant elephant population, Tarangire offers a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural setting. Stop for a picnic lunch during afternoon, and resume your game drive, soaking in the wonders of Tarangire, before leaving to the your booked lodge for a delightful dinner in the early evening.

Day 3&4: Serengeti National Park

Awaken to the enchanting anticipation of Serengeti’s endless plains. The third day unfolds with a captivating game-viewing drive en route to this extraordinary destination. The fourth day invites you to embrace the full spectrum of wonders that Serengeti has to offer.

Renowned for its impressive population of leopard, cheetah, and lion, the Serengeti, meaning “Endless Plains,” encapsulates the soul of its extraordinary landscape. Here, the grandeur unfolds as the site of the world’s most spectacular annual overland migration, a breathtaking journey spanning over 800 kilometers.

Depending on the time of year, you will have a the opportunity to witness the theater of nature, where over a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, alongside various antelope species, gracefully traverse the endless plains. The Serengeti’s grandeur, enriched by the perpetual dance of predators and prey, paints an unforgettable safari canvas.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast, you venture out on a scenic drive toward Ngorongoro, a piece of heaven like no other. Upon reaching Ngorongoro, descend nearly 2,000 feet to the crater floor. Welcome to the eighth wonder of the world and Africa’s number one most visited destination. Ngorongoro features the best wildlife-viewing areas, impressive dimensions, measuring about 20 kilometers wide and ranking among the largest calderas globally.

Within its steep, unbroken walls unfold a captivating drama, where the famous Big Five – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino, as well as various other mammalian wildlife roam freely. The crater’s birdlife is equally remarkable, particularly around Lake Magadi, a soda lake at the crater’s base that entices hundreds of flamingos to its shallows. As the day draws to a close, ascend the crater walls and journey to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Arusha

Venture on a remarkable game-viewing drive after breakfast. As you drive through the forested zone, the chatter of baboons and black monkeys echoes in the woodlands.

The groundwater forest which is the first zone fed by water seeping from the Great Rift Wall, showcases wild fig, sausage, tamarind, and mahogany trees, favored by elephants in the dense forests and marshy glades. Explore additional zones, including marshlands along the lake edge, scrub on the Rift Valley Wall, open areas with scattered acacia, and expansive grasslands. Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, a rare but enchanting sight when they choose to lounge on the branches of acacia trees. While spotting lions in the trees is an unexpected bonus, it’s essential not to set your expectations too high.

In the early evening, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homeward flight or to other destinations.
