14 Days Mid-range Wildlife Drive-in Safari

14 Days

Tanzania

Tanzania Safari Tours often promise a lot, but this journey finds its own way of surprising you. Fourteen days unfold across landscapes that feel both untamed and familiar—Tarangire’s slow-moving elephants, Manyara’s soft forests, and Serengeti’s vast, breathing plains. Then comes Ngorongoro, a world hidden inside a globe. By the time Zanzibar’s quiet beaches take over the rhythm, the trip feels less like an itinerary and more like a story slipping into place, one moment at a time.

TANZANIA BUDGET SAFARIS

tanzania budget safaris

Tanzania Budget Safaris are for travelers who want to see the parks and the animals without stretching the trip too far financially.

This kind of safari is simple. You stay in basic lodges, tented camps, or public campsites. Some routes follow a fixed plan, and shared transport can be part of the setup. The real focus of these safaris is to stay as close to the wild as possible. You will stay inside the parks, watch elephants cross the road, hear camp sounds at night, and keep the whole trip affordable.

Tanzania Mid-range Safaris

tanzania mid-range safaris

Tanzania Mid-range safaris suit travelers who want greater comfort after long drives but still want to keep the trip financially sensible.

This is the type of safari that is favorite among most travelers. The lodges are comfortable, and the meals are good. You still get a taste of safari, the dust, the long views, and the sudden line sighting near the track. But, at the end of the day, you will get a proper bed, a warm meal, and enough facilities to continue your safari to the next day.

TANZANIA LUXURY SAFARIS

tanzania luxury safaris

Tanzania Luxury Safaris are designed for travelers who want to visit Tanzania's wild areas while keeping privacy and thoughtful care in mind every day.

Luxury on safaris is not about getting a nice accommodation. It is the feeling of coming back from a game drive to a quiet camp, warm service, and space to breathe. It is the best choice for honeymooners, families, older travelers, or anyone who deeply values comfort. But they cost a little more and are completely worth the extra splurging, making the safari feel calm and rich.

Month-by-Month Guide for Tanzania Safaris

January – February

January and February are bright and warm. These days are full of movement as the southern Serengeti comes alive with the arrival of wildebeest. The wildebeest are followed by predators in the Ndutu region of the southern Serengeti, where visitors are rewarded with the ultimate sights of predator-prey action. You might see young wildebeests standing on shaky legs while lions, cheetahs, and hyenas stay close to the herds. The weather is usually great for a Tanzania safari, with sunny days and softer landscapes after the short rains. It is also a great time for photographers, as the land looks fresh rather than dry and dusty.  Many safari lovers prefer these months because they bring a great balance of strong wildlife, warm weather, and fewer crowds than the busiest dry months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear answers to common questions before planning your trip.

For a first safari, our safari experts often suggest visiting Northern Tanzania Destinations. This is because the national parks in Northern Tanzania are easily accessible and have great wildlife viewing. For example, your safari can start with Tarangire National Park and continue to Serengeti National Park. Simultaneously, you can spend time at Ngorongoro Crater. It gives you a glimpse of real Tanzania without making the trip too packed.

In general, a 7- to 10-day Tanzania Safari Tour can be enough. That being said, it’s not like you can't go for a shorter trip of less than 7 days. It can still be good, like a 3-day Tanzania Safari is a great option if you have a time crunch or want a quick wildlife break.

But if you want to go slow, get more park time, and spend less time on the road, we suggest a 6-Day Drive-in, Drive-out Mid-Range Wildlife Safari. More days simply give your safari room to breathe.

Yes, you can, as Tanzania is blessed with rich wildlife and cultural heritage. Also, some travellers want more than game drives, and that is completely fine. So, we can include a Masai Boma, village visits, and nature walks in our Tanzania Safari Packages. You still get wildlife, but the trip also shows you people, places, and daily life beyond the parks.

For a great Tanzania Wildlife Safari, you can visit Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park.

Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater are usually at the top of the list. Tarangire National Park is great for elephants, and Lake Manyara National Park brings lake views, forest, birds, and a softer kind of beauty.

Our safari experts will help you choose parks based on your season, time, and interests.

Yes, we can plan tours for all types of travelers with our Tanzania Mid-range Safari or a Tanzania Luxury Safari option. Unfortunately, we do not have budget tours.

The cost depends on your accommodation, number of days, park route, and transport style. We explain these choices clearly, without pushing you into something that does not fit your plan.

Yes, you can, and many travelers do that. You can enjoy your safari first, then rest by the ocean with Zanzibar Beach Holiday Packages.

Some guests also add Kilimanjaro Climbing Packages to their safari before or after. We help with the flow, flights, transfers, and timing, so the whole trip feels easier to manage.
